Signs of Cold Stress in White mullein
Symptoms
White mullein tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, there could be reduced or absent sprouting in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in White mullein
Symptoms
In summer, White mullein should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves may lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the entire plant might wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
