Signs of Cold Stress in Snake gourd
Symptoms
Snake gourd tolerates cool temperatures moderately and flourishes optimally between 68℉ and 86℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 59℉. Below 50℉, foliage may darken. Severe cases show water-soaked necrosis, wilting, drooping, and leaves gradually browning.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm spot or construct a temporary greenhouse for cold defense. When indoors, position near a south-facing window for ample light. Supplement with artificial lighting if natural light is inadequate.
Signs of Heat Stress in Snake gourd
Symptoms
In summer, Snake gourd needs temperatures below 86℉. Above 95℉, plant growth decelerates, leaf color fades, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove sun-scorched and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to an area offering afternoon shade. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
