Signs of Cold Stress in Spanish moss
Symptoms
Spanish moss favors warm conditions and cannot withstand low temperatures. It flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it must be maintained above 55℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, initially, no clear leaf symptoms appear. However, after three to five days, leaves begin to wilt and sag, and in severe instances, the whole plant might desiccate.
Solutions
Prune the frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm setting for cold protection. Select a location near a south-facing window for the plants, ensuring sufficient sunlight. Furthermore, avoid positioning plants near heaters or AC vents to prevent excessive air dryness.

Symptoms
In summer, Spanish moss should be kept below 80℉. When temperatures surpass 90℉, leaf tips may become dry and shriveled, growth might halt, and the plant could be susceptible to root rot. Moreover, too much sun exposure can lead to sunburn.
Solutions
Remove the dried-up portions. Move the plant to a spot offering shade from the midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain moisture for both the plant and its surroundings.
