Signs of Cold Stress in Sky plant
Symptoms
Sky plant thrives in warm conditions and cannot withstand cold. Optimal growth occurs when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, initial leaf symptoms are absent. Yet, within three to five days, leaves wilt and droop, potentially leading to complete plant desiccation in severe cases.
Solutions
Prune affected frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm area for cold protection. Position plants near a south-facing window for sufficient light. Furthermore, avoid placing plants near heating or AC vents to prevent excessive air dryness.
Signs of Heat Stress in Sky plant
Symptoms
In summer, Sky plant should be maintained below 80℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, leaf tips may dry and shrivel, growth can halt, and root rot risk increases. Moreover, too much sun exposure can cause scorching.
Solutions
Discard dried-out portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering shade from intense midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain plant and environmental humidity.
