Signs of Cold Stress in Frost aster
Symptoms
Frost aster tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while no immediate winter changes may be apparent, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Frost aster
Symptoms
During summer, Frost aster should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl easily, suffer sunburn, and in extreme cases, the entire plant may wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot shaded from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric. Water the plant in the morning and evening to keep the soil damp.
