Signs of Cold Stress in Turkey berry
Symptoms
Turkey berry tolerates cool conditions moderately well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. Throughout the winter, it should be maintained above 59℉. If the temperature drops below 41℉, foliage may begin to sag. In minor instances, recovery is possible, but in severe cases, leaves will wither and ultimately detach.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before subsequent exposure to low temperatures, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or cloth, and build a windbreak to shield it from cold gusts.
Signs of Heat Stress in Turkey berry
Symptoms
In summer, Turkey berry should be kept below 86℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, leaf coloration lightens, leaf tips may become dry and shriveled, leaves might curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or deploy a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
