Signs of Cold Stress in Common groundsel
Symptoms
Common groundsel tolerates cold well and flourishes best when temperatures exceed 55℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout successfully.
Signs of Heat Stress in Common groundsel
Symptoms
In summer, Common groundsel should be maintained below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 75℉, its leaves might lighten, curl, get sunburned, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and desiccated. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
