Signs of Cold Stress in Tree stonecrop
Symptoms
Tree stonecrop does not withstand extremely low temperatures well. It flourishes optimally when temperatures range from 60℉ to 75℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, its leaves will show waterlogged decay and drooping. For minor frost damage, initial signs might be absent, but within a week, leaves will severely droop and eventually detach.
Solutions
Prune away the frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting or construct a temporary greenhouse for cold defense. When bringing the plant inside, select a spot near a south-facing window to guarantee sufficient light. If using a temporary greenhouse, ensure proper air circulation to prevent plant rot from inadequate ventilation.
Signs of Heat Stress in Tree stonecrop
Symptoms
In summer, Tree stonecrop should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant will enter a dormant phase, and it becomes more susceptible to rot in humid conditions.
Solutions
Discard the dried and decayed portions. Relocate the plant to a spot with partial shade, shielding it from direct sun exposure during midday and afternoon. Cease watering the plant until temperatures decrease.
