Ideal Temperature for Sorrel

Sorrel tolerates cool conditions moderately well, flourishing optimally when temperatures range from 60℉ to 75℉. In colder months, maintain temperatures above 50℉. Should the temperature drop below 32℉, foliage might darken. In extreme instances, water-soaked lesions, wilting, and drooping can appear, with leaves progressively turning brown.

Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting or construct a temporary greenhouse for protection against cold. When bringing the plant inside, select a spot near a south-facing window to ensure adequate sunlight. If natural light is insufficient, artificial lighting can be used.

In summer, Sorrel should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's development slows, its leaf color fades, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.

Prune off any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
