Signs of Cold Stress in Tea rose
Symptoms
Tea rose tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, branches can become fragile and parched by spring, preventing new growth.
Solutions
In spring, remove any lifeless branches that haven't produced fresh foliage.
Signs of Heat Stress in Tea rose
Symptoms
In summer, Tea rose should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, their tips could dry and shrivel, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off the sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
