Signs of Cold Stress in Chinese azalea
Symptoms
Chinese azalea tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, branches can become brittle and dry by spring, with no new growth appearing.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that have not produced new foliage.

Symptoms
During summer, Chinese azalea should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves may lighten in hue, tips might dry and shrivel, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade covering. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
