Signs of Cold Stress in Rhubarb
Symptoms
Rhubarb exhibits moderate resilience to cold, flourishing optimally within a temperature range of 60℉ to 75℉. Throughout the winter, temperatures should not drop below 50℉. Should the temperature fall below 40℉, the foliage might darken. In extreme instances, water-soaked tissue death, wilting, and drooping can occur, with leaves progressively turning brown.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant to a warm indoor setting or construct a temporary greenhouse for protection against cold. When bringing the plant inside, select a spot near a south-facing window to ensure adequate light. If natural light is insufficient, consider using artificial grow lights.

In summer, Rhubarb should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, the plant's development decelerates, its leaves lose vibrancy, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.
