Signs of Cold Stress in Persian buttercup
Symptoms
Persian buttercup tolerates cool conditions moderately well, flourishing optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, foliage may begin to sag. Mild cases can recover, but severe cold causes wilting and eventual leaf drop.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before further cold exposure, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or cloth, and build a windbreak to shield it from chilling gusts.
Signs of Heat Stress in Persian buttercup
Symptoms
In summer, Persian buttercup should be kept below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, leaves may lighten in color, tips might dry and shrivel, foliage could curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
