Signs of Cold Conditions in European aspen
Symptoms
European aspen tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, branches can become fragile and dry by spring, preventing new growth.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that have not produced new foliage.

Symptoms
In summer, European aspen should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures go above 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, their tips could dry and shrivel, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
