Signs of Cold Temperatures in Pickerelweed
Symptoms
Pickerelweed tolerates cold well and flourishes when temperatures are above 68℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 59℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, while no immediate winter changes might be seen, spring may bring reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of High Temperatures in Pickerelweed
Symptoms
In summer, Pickerelweed should be maintained below 82℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to a spot offering shade from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
