Signs of Cold Stress in Annual bluegrass
Symptoms
Annual bluegrass tolerates cold well and flourishes best when temperatures exceed 50℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 32℉. If temperatures drop below 28℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Annual bluegrass
Symptoms
During summer, Annual bluegrass should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe cases, the entire plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
