Signs of Cold Temperatures in Chinese pistache
Symptoms
Chinese pistache tolerates cold well and flourishes best when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while no immediate winter changes may be apparent, branches can become brittle and dry by spring, with no new growth appearing.

In spring, remove any dead branches that have not produced new foliage.
Signs of High Temperatures in Chinese pistache
Symptoms
During summer, Chinese pistache should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 90℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, tips may dry and shrivel, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to keep the soil damp.
