Signs of Cold Stress in Bunge's pine
Symptoms
Bunge's pine exhibits exceptional cold hardiness, but winter temperatures should ideally remain above 32℉. Should the temperature fall below this point, while no immediate issues might be apparent in winter, branches could become fragile and desiccated by spring, with no new growth appearing.
Solutions
During spring, remove any lifeless branches that have not developed fresh foliage.
Signs of Heat Stress in Bunge's pine
Symptoms
Bunge's pine does not fare well in elevated temperatures. When the temperature surpasses 75℉, it can lead to considerable leaf shedding, and in extreme instances, the entire plant might wilt and perish.
Solutions
Cut off any parts that are scorched by the sun and dried out. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the intense midday and afternoon sun, or employ a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant during the morning and evening to ensure the soil remains damp.
