Signs of Cold Stress in Clearweed
Symptoms
Clearweed tolerates cold well and grows optimally above 64℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while no immediate winter changes may be apparent, spring sprouting could be reduced or absent.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Clearweed
Symptoms
In summer, Clearweed should be kept below 77℉. When temperatures exceed 86℉, plant leaves may lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe cases, the whole plant may wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot shaded from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
