Ideal Temperature for Parsnip

Signs of Cold Stress in Parsnip
Symptoms
Parsnip exhibits fair resilience to cold and flourishes optimally within a temperature range of 60℉ to 70℉. Throughout the winter, temperatures should not drop below 50℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, foliage may darken. In extreme instances, water-soaked tissue death, wilting, and drooping can occur, with leaves progressively turning brown.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting or construct a temporary greenhouse for protection against cold. When bringing the plant inside, select a spot near a south-facing window to ensure adequate sunlight. If light is insufficient, consider using supplementary illumination.
Signs of Heat Stress in Parsnip
Symptoms
In summer, Parsnip should be maintained below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's development slows, its leaf color fades, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to an area offering shade from the afternoon sun. Irrigate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
