Signs of Cold Stress in False shamrock
Symptoms
False shamrock tolerates cool temperatures moderately well, flourishing optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it should be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, foliage may begin to sag. Mild cases can recover, but severe instances lead to wilting and eventual leaf drop.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before future cold exposure, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or cloth, and build a windbreak to shield it from cold gusts.
Signs of Heat Stress in False shamrock
Symptoms
In summer, False shamrock should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, leaf coloration fades, tips may dry and shrivel, leaves might curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun, or deploy a shade cloth. Water the plant during morning and evening hours to maintain soil moisture.
