Ideal Temperature for Tanoak

Signs of Cold Stress in Tanoak
Symptoms
Tanoak exhibits moderate resilience to cold and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 50℉. Throughout winter, it should be maintained above 32℉. Should the temperature drop below 20℉, its foliage might begin to sag. In minor instances, recovery is possible, but in severe cases, leaves will wither and eventually detach.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before subsequent exposure to low temperatures, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or cloth, and erect a windbreak to shield it from cold gusts.
Signs of Heat Stress in Tanoak
Symptoms
In summer, Tanoak should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the foliage color lightens, leaf tips may become parched and shriveled, leaves might curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or deploy a shade cloth for cover. Irrigate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
