Signs of Cold Stress in Chinese silver grass
Symptoms
Chinese silver grass tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally above 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while winter changes might be unnoticeable, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Chinese silver grass
Symptoms
In summer, Chinese silver grass should be kept below 80℉. When temperatures exceed 90℉, plant leaves may lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe cases, the whole plant might wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
