Signs of Cold Stress in Truncate living stone
Symptoms
Truncate living stone cannot withstand extremely low temperatures. It flourishes optimally when temperatures range from 65℉ to 70℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 60℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, its foliage will show water-soaked decay and droop. For minor frost damage, initial signs might be absent, but within a week, leaves will severely wilt and eventually detach.
Solutions
Cut away the frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting or construct a temporary greenhouse for thermal insulation. When indoors, position it near a south-facing window for sufficient light. In a makeshift greenhouse, ensure good air circulation to prevent plant deterioration from inadequate airflow.
Signs of Heat Stress in Truncate living stone
Symptoms
In summer, Truncate living stone should be kept below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 75℉, the plant will enter dormancy and is more susceptible to rot in humid conditions.
Solutions
Remove any dry or decayed portions. Transfer the plant to a location with partial shade, shielding it from direct sun exposure during midday and afternoon. Cease watering until the weather cools down.
