Ideal Temperature for Lovage

Signs of Cold Stress in Lovage
Symptoms
Lovage exhibits moderate resilience to cold and flourishes optimally within a temperature range of 60℉ to 70℉. Throughout the winter, temperatures should remain above 50℉. Should the temperature drop below 32℉, foliage may darken. In extreme instances, water-soaked tissue death, wilting, and drooping can occur, with leaves progressively turning brown.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting or construct a temporary greenhouse for protection from cold. When bringing the plant inside, select a spot near a south-facing window to ensure adequate sunlight. If light is insufficient, consider using supplementary illumination.
Signs of Heat Stress in Lovage
Symptoms
In summer, Lovage should be maintained below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's development slows, its leaf color fades, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any sunburnt or desiccated sections. Transfer the plant to an area offering shade from the afternoon sun. Irrigate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
