Signs of Cold Stress in Shasta daisy
Symptoms
Shasta daisy tolerates cold well and flourishes when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while no immediate winter changes might be seen, spring sprouting could be reduced or absent.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Shasta daisy
Symptoms
In summer, Shasta daisy should be maintained below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
