Signs of Cold Temperatures in Sweet pea
Symptoms
Sweet pea tolerates cold well and flourishes when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, while no immediate winter changes might be seen, branches can become brittle and dry by spring, with no new growth appearing.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that have not produced new foliage.
Signs of High Temperatures in Sweet pea
Symptoms
During summer, Sweet pea should be maintained below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, their tips could dry and wither, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
