Signs of Cold Exposure in Purple dead-nettle
Symptoms
Purple dead-nettle tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, eliminate any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Purple dead-nettle
Symptoms
In summer, Purple dead-nettle should be kept below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, tend to curl, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any sun-scorched and dried-out portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or employ a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
