Signs of Cold Stress in Japanese clover
Symptoms
Japanese clover exhibits strong resilience to cold, but winter temperatures must stay above 41℉. Should temperatures fall below this point, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, a reduction or complete absence of sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
During spring, remove any sections that have not successfully sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Japanese clover
Symptoms
Japanese clover does not thrive in hot conditions. When temperatures surpass 77℉, its development ceases, and it becomes more prone to decay.
Solutions
Cut off any parts that are scorched and dried. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or employ a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
