Signs of Cold Stress in Brazilian-plume
Symptoms
Brazilian-plume thrives in warmth and cannot withstand cold. Optimal growth occurs above 65℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 60℉. Below 50℉, leaves may lose color. Post-frost, they progressively turn brown or black, showing signs of wilting and drooping.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm area for protection. Position the plant near a south-facing window for sufficient light. Furthermore, avoid placing it near heating units or AC vents to prevent air from becoming too dry.
Signs of Heat Stress in Brazilian-plume
Symptoms
In summer, Brazilian-plume should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, leaves lighten in hue, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
