Signs of Cold Stress in Arabian jasmine
Symptoms
Arabian jasmine favors warm conditions and cannot withstand cold. It flourishes best when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 60℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, leaves might lose their vibrant color. Following frost damage, they progressively turn brown or black, and signs like wilting and drooping can appear.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting for protection against cold. Position the plant near a south-facing window to ensure sufficient light. Furthermore, avoid placing it near heating units or AC vents to prevent overly dry air.
Signs of Heat Stress in Arabian jasmine
Symptoms
In summer, Arabian jasmine should be maintained below 80℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, leaf coloration fades, and the plant becomes more prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant during the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
