Signs of Cold Temperatures in Common jasmine
Symptoms
Common jasmine tolerates cold well and flourishes when temperatures are above 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 40℉, even if no immediate winter damage is apparent, branches might become brittle and dry in spring, with no new growth.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that haven't produced new foliage.
Signs of High Temperatures in Common jasmine
Symptoms
In summer, Common jasmine should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures go above 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in color, tips may dry and shrivel, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and dried sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade covering. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
