Signs of Cold Stress in Wall iris
Symptoms
Wall iris tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, spring may see reduced or absent sprouting.

Symptoms
In summer, Wall iris should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl easily, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and dried. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
