Ideal Temperature for Roselle

Signs of Cold Stress in Roselle
Symptoms
Roselle tolerates cool conditions moderately well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 75℉. In colder months, maintain temperatures above 68℉. If the temperature drops below 50℉, foliage may begin to sag. Minor cases can recover, but severe instances lead to wilting and eventual leaf drop.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before further exposure to cold, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or cloth, and build a windbreak to shield it from cold gusts.
Signs of Heat Stress in Roselle
Symptoms
In summer, Roselle should be maintained below 86℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, leaves lighten in color, tips may dry and shrivel, foliage can curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun, or deploy a shade cloth. Water the plant during morning and evening hours to maintain soil moisture.
