Signs of Cold Stress in Heliotrope
Symptoms
Heliotrope thrives in warmth and cannot withstand cold. Optimal growth occurs above 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. Below 40℉, foliage may lighten. Post-frost, leaves progressively brown or blacken, showing signs of wilting and drooping.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm area for protection. Position the plant near a south-facing window for ample light. Avoid placing near heating or AC vents to prevent air from becoming too dry.
Signs of Heat Stress in Heliotrope
Symptoms
In summer, Heliotrope should remain below 80℉. Above 85℉, leaves lighten and the plant becomes more prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Remove any sunburned or desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
