Signs of Cold Stress in Himalayan ivy
Symptoms
Himalayan ivy tolerates cold well and flourishes best when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while no immediate changes might be seen in winter, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that did not sprout.
Signs of Heat Stress in Himalayan ivy
Symptoms
During summer, Himalayan ivy should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe cases, the whole plant may wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
