Ideal Temperature for Moon cactus

Signs of Cold Stress in Moon cactus
Symptoms
Moon cactus flourishes in warm conditions and cannot withstand cold. Optimal growth occurs when temperatures exceed 75℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 65℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, the plant may weaken, droop, and become susceptible to root decay. Minor frost damage might not show immediate signs, but the plant will progressively decline after about a week.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections, checking for root rot. If roots are rotted, excise them, and the plant can be propagated via cuttings. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm setting, positioning the plant near a south-facing window for ample light. If natural light is inadequate, provide supplementary illumination.
Signs of Heat Stress in Moon cactus
Symptoms
In summer, Moon cactus should be kept below 85℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, the plant's development will halt, it will dehydrate, wilt, and be more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Excise the sunburnt and decayed portions. Protect the plant from intense afternoon sun until it recovers and resumes growth. For plants with root rot, cease watering until new roots start to form.
