Signs of Cold Stress in Fragrant orchid
Symptoms
Fragrant orchid tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, eliminate any sections that did not sprout.
Signs of Heat Stress in Fragrant orchid
Symptoms
During summer, Fragrant orchid should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl easily, become prone to sun damage, and in severe instances, the whole plant could wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and dried portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from intense midday and afternoon sun, or employ a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to ensure soil moisture.
