Signs of Cold Stress in White teak
Symptoms
White teak tolerates cool temperatures moderately well, flourishing optimally when temperatures exceed 72℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 60℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, leaves might begin to sag. Mild cases can recover, but severe instances lead to wilting and eventual leaf drop.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before further cold exposure, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or cloth, and build a windbreak to shield it from chilly gusts.
Signs of Heat Stress in White teak
Symptoms
In summer, White teak should be kept below 86℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, leaves may lighten in color, tips might dry and shrivel, leaves could curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sunburn.
Solutions
Prune off any sunburned and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the intense midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant during morning and evening hours to maintain soil moisture.
