Signs of Cold Temperatures in Ground ivy
Symptoms
Ground ivy tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, while no immediate changes might be apparent in winter, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of High Temperatures in Ground ivy
Symptoms
During summer, Ground ivy should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in hue, tend to curl, become prone to sun damage, and in extreme cases, the whole plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and desiccated. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric to provide cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
