Signs of Cold Stress in Paperplant
Symptoms
Paperplant tolerates cool conditions moderately well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, its foliage might begin to sag. Minor cases can lead to recovery, but severe instances will cause leaves to wither and eventually detach.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before subsequent cold exposure, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or cloth, and build a windbreak to shield it from chilly gusts.
Signs of Heat Stress in Paperplant
Symptoms
In summer, Paperplant should be kept below 70℉. When temperatures surpass 80℉, the leaves' hue lightens, leaf tips may become parched and shriveled, foliage might curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off any sun-scorched and dried sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
