Signs of Cold Stress in Leopard plant
Symptoms
Leopard plant tolerates cool conditions moderately well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, its leaves might begin to sag. Minor cases can lead to recovery, but severe instances will cause leaves to wither and eventually detach.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Before subsequent exposure to low temperatures, cover the plant with materials like non-woven fabric or textiles, and build a windbreak to shield it from cold gusts.
Signs of Heat Stress in Leopard plant
Symptoms
In summer, Leopard plant should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the foliage lightens in color, leaf tips may become parched and shriveled, leaves might curl, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or deploy a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
