Signs of Cold Temperatures in Burning bush
Symptoms
Burning bush tolerates cold well and flourishes when temperatures are above 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 55℉. If temperatures drop below 50℉, while winter changes might not be obvious, branches can become brittle and dry by spring, preventing new growth.
Solutions
In spring, remove any dead branches that haven't produced new foliage.
Signs of High Temperatures in Burning bush
Symptoms
During summer, Burning bush should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures go above 85℉, the plant's leaves might lighten in color, tips could dry and shrivel, and it becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off any sun-damaged and dried-out sections. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
