Ideal Temperature for Water hyacinth

Water hyacinth favors warm conditions and cannot withstand low temperatures. It flourishes best when temperatures exceed 77℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 59℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, its leaves may lose their vibrant color. Following frost damage, the foliage progressively turns brown or black, and signs like wilting and drooping might appear.

Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting for protection against cold. Position the plant near a south-facing window to ensure sufficient light exposure. Furthermore, avoid placing it close to heating units or air conditioning vents to prevent overly dry air.

In summer, Water hyacinth should be kept below 95℉. When temperatures surpass 104℉, the leaves' hue lightens, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.

Prune off any sun-scorched and desiccated sections. Relocate the plant to an area offering shade from the intense midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant during the morning and evening hours to maintain soil moisture.
