Signs of Cold Stress in Dragon tree
Symptoms
Dragon tree favors warm conditions and cannot withstand cold. It flourishes best when temperatures exceed 65℉. In winter, it needs to be kept above 55℉. If the temperature drops below 40℉, its leaves might lose some color. Following frost damage, the foliage progressively turns brown or black, and issues like wilting and drooping can appear.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting for protection from the cold. Select a location near a south-facing window for the plant, ensuring plenty of light. Furthermore, avoid positioning the plant near heating units or AC vents to prevent overly dry air.
Signs of Heat Stress in Dragon tree
Symptoms
In summer, Dragon tree should be maintained below 75℉. When temperatures go above 90℉, the leaf color fades, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off any parts that are sunburned and dried. Move the plant to an area that offers protection from the midday and afternoon sun. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
