Chinese pink tolerates cold well and flourishes when temperatures are above 60℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while no immediate winter changes may be apparent, spring sprouting could be reduced or absent.

Symptoms
In summer, Chinese pink should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures exceed 85℉, plant leaves may lighten, curl, become sunburned, and in severe cases, the entire plant might wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any sunburned and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a spot offering midday and afternoon shade, or use a shade cloth. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
