Signs of Cold Stress in Flax lily
Symptoms
Flax lily favors warm conditions and cannot withstand cold. It flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to stay above 50℉. If the temperature drops below 32℉, its foliage might lose some color. Following frost damage, the leaves progressively turn brown or black, and signs like wilting and drooping can appear.
Solutions
Remove any parts damaged by frost. Promptly relocate the plant indoors to a warm setting for protection from the cold. Select a location near a south-facing window to position the plant, ensuring plenty of light. Furthermore, avoid placing it near heating units or AC vents to prevent overly dry air.
Signs of Heat Stress in Flax lily
Symptoms
In summer, Flax lily should be maintained below 85℉. When temperatures surpass 95℉, the leaf color fades, and the plant becomes more prone to sun damage.
Solutions
Cut off any parts that are sunburned and dried out. Transfer the plant to an area that offers protection from the intense midday and afternoon sun. Hydrate the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
