Signs of Cold Stress in Nut grass
Symptoms
Nut grass tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 68℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 59℉. If the temperature drops below 41℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, a reduction or absence of sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In spring, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Signs of Heat Stress in Nut grass
Symptoms
During summer, Nut grass should be kept below 95℉. When temperatures surpass 104℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl, become prone to sunburn, and in severe instances, the entire plant could wilt and dry out.
Solutions
Remove any parts that are sunburned and desiccated. Relocate the plant to a spot offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade cloth for cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
