Signs of Cold Stress in Lemon grass
Symptoms
Lemon grass thrives in warmth and cannot withstand cold. Optimal growth occurs above 68℉. In winter, maintain temperatures above 59℉. Below 50℉, leaves may lose color. Post-frost, they progressively turn brown or black, exhibiting wilting and drooping.
Solutions
Remove frost-damaged sections. Promptly relocate indoors to a warm area for protection. Position the plant near a south-facing window for sufficient light. Avoid proximity to heating or AC vents to prevent air desiccation.
Signs of Heat Stress in Lemon grass
Symptoms
In summer, Lemon grass should remain below 86℉. Exceeding 95℉ causes leaf discoloration and increased sunburn risk.
Solutions
Remove sun-scorched and desiccated portions. Relocate the plant to a shaded spot during midday and afternoon. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
