Indications of Low Temperatures for Large-flowered tickseed
Symptoms
Large-flowered tickseed tolerates cold well and flourishes optimally when temperatures exceed 60℉. In winter, it needs to be maintained above 50℉. If temperatures drop below 32℉, while no immediate winter changes might be apparent, reduced or absent sprouting could occur in spring.
Solutions
In springtime, remove any sections that have not sprouted.
Indications of High Temperatures for Large-flowered tickseed
Symptoms
During summer, Large-flowered tickseed should be kept below 75℉. When temperatures surpass 85℉, the plant's foliage might lighten, curl, become prone to sun damage, and in extreme cases, the whole plant may wilt and desiccate.
Solutions
Remove any sun-damaged and dried-out portions. Relocate the plant to an area offering protection from the midday and afternoon sun, or use a shade fabric to provide cover. Water the plant in the morning and evening to maintain soil moisture.
